Bryan did a nice job for us. The very first pitch in the first, he nailed one. He knocked another one through the middle with the infield drawn in. He walked and scored the other time. That made a big, big difference.

I thought we'd be a fourth or fifth seed, but the way things are set up, anything in the top 10 is pretty good. We've seen a lot of these teams. I like where we're at.

These kids deserve (the title). They've worked tremendously hard. We hope we're just now hitting our peak.

You never have any idea how many kids who could have been good pitchers never end up pitching (later). You see that happen all the time.

Up until tonight, we've been hitting the ball hard but right at people. Tonight, we got a few balls to drop or we hit into the gaps. Hopefully, there's more of that to come.

That was an excellent win. The kids came out and we got on top early and Dunlap pitched a real good ball game. Ryan just had one bad inning, and from there on he was in control.

When you go back (to 60 feet), you have to start all over. Your arm is not strong enough to do it. I don't think people have any idea of the damage that it does.
