I think that we made some bad decisions early on and took some shots we shouldn't have taken. Loyola is certainly very patient offensively and they took us out of what we wanted to do and we didn't handle their pressure well early on.

The kids really responded. We were really dominant in the first half.

We didn't take advantages of the chances in the second half to put it away. We got a little bit tired and a little bit sloppy.

We threw a kid out there who hasn't faced off all year, and he battled.

I think I've said it all along, this season isn't totally unexpected to me. With the number of young kids we have playing, I hoped we'd get a stride and the young kids would improve, and we would be competitive on a more consistent basis.

We didn't handle the elements as well as Loyola did.

At the end of the day, we had a stretch of 12 minutes from the end of the first quarter to the beginning of the second quarter where we didn't execute. We dug ourselves a hole, and we couldn't get out.

I really give St. John's credit. They're a young team, and they definitely took advantage of our mistakes.

We didn't play they way we were capable of, and we took a step backwards.
