"James Rowan Chatterton "Jim" Dickson" (born 1964) is a Labour Party (UK)/Labour Councillor for Herne Hill on Lambeth borough/Council, London, United Kingdom (UK), where he also serves as Cabinet Member for Health and Well Being, having previously been the Council's Cabinet Member for Finance and also its Leader.

Whilst he generally goes by the shorter Jim Dickson his full name is . He was educated at the public school Wellington College, Berkshire/Wellington College, as a result of being a child of a serving Royal Navy Officer (armed forces)/Officer, and Cambridge University where he read Social and Political Sciences. Whilst at Cambridge he was elected as Chair of the Cambridge University Labour Club. He is listed in Burkes Peerage/Burke's Irish Family Records and his great great grand father was Major General Sir George Arthur French, first Police commissioner/commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. His brother is the UK Consul (representative)/Consul General to Chicago, Robert Chatterton Dickson.

At the United Kingdom general election, 2010/2001 General Election he was Labour's candidate in Old Bexley and Sidcup (UK Parliament constituency)/Old Bexley and Sidcup.
