We've still got a lot of worked to do. We don't want to be a polished football team in week one, we want to be there at week 10.

It hasn't all been [bad] luck. They've had some good teams.

I think it says a lot about the character of our kids, their academic commitment and their athletic commitment. We have good athletes, but they're good football players and good kids, too. They've represented us well.

We had a lot of penalties and mental errors and we had to fight through that and the field conditions.

Our front-four [offensive line] players did a good job. We had some nice drives. We controlled the ball. We did an outstanding job on defense. We controlled the line of scrimmage.

[Robert] Hightower with a punt return touchdown and [Donovan] Fletcher with a touchdown on an interception did an excellent job of shifting the momentum our way. Add to that the nice job that [John] Humphrey did with the kicking game and you can see why we are pleased with those portions of our game.
