We understand trends change and so can changes to development.

BR-27 is the spine. There is small lot older commercial development on south end, to freeway interchange commercial services at I-69 and then scattered commercial establishments north at Herbison Road.

There are a lot of features that are attractive, such as the school district and rural, small town atmosphere. We want to incorporate these features into new development.

Our first priority will be forming a plan for the south central neighborhood conservation and commercial revitalization plan. We are hoping to start with this plan by 2006.

They've been through some pretty traumatic experiences back home. Tucson is probably a community that most of them are pretty unfamiliar with.

Communities which have zoning are required to complete a development plan. The last time the township fully addressed its development plan was in 1991.

It is the people who own businesses here and live here that helped develop our vision statement.

We called it the 'prouds' and 'sorrys'. The meetings were held to get the public's thoughts about township development. We asked them what they thought about the present development and what they would want in future development.

There is a greater level of detail (in the new plan). There is also a section centered on implementation strategy.
