At the end of last season, the only thing I could think about was getting back this year to the district championship game against Forks. Now, it looks like that's where we are.

I thought we had the advantage inside, so we wanted to go into the post. We wanted to make sure we ran a lot of different offensive sets, and give them a lot of different looks. And it worked to our advantage.

I can honestly say it's the best zone defense we've seen all year. I just felt like we didn't attack the zone enough.

I can't say I was comfortable. But I have confidence in our guys. And the look on their face and the determination in their eyes helped me to relax.

In terms of basketball experience, they're a mature group.

I thought we executed our half-court offense very well. Again, guys shared the ball.

These guys have not forgotten last year. I'm sure every single one of them remembers the taste of that loss.

Our guys were extremely fundamental catching it, shooting it, taking care of it. And then, of course, stepping up and knocking down free throw after free throw after free throw.

Our guards definitely shut him down.
