It was a war. But I thought we played with a lot composure at the end. With about six minutes left, we looked a little rattled, but I told the guys, 'You've been there before.' We've been through games like this a lot this year.

We challenged the kids, and they answered the call today.

In big games like this, you have to have someone to step up, and Trey pitched with a lot of heart and guts. We gave him the rock, and he pitched us a gem.

When the playoffs start, it's a whole new season.

Somebody's going to have to make a big play that decides this ball game.

We played (well) the first half because we were patient on offense. We were able to get some nice easy shots by being a little bit patient. I think our poise was rattled there in the third quarter. It was tough to climb back out of that 17-point hole. We made a heck of a run at it. We just couldn't finish it.

It's been an unbelievable battle between the two of us. I know people were concerned, because the teams [in the Mid-State 3-A] are so spread out. But right off the bat, it's been good with them, and that's going to be healthy for both of us.

As far as from an offensive standpoint, we had chances, we just have to capitalize. If we have those chance again, we just have to drive in runners.
