We talk all the time. I don't get to see him that much, but he brings up his game film for me to watch sometimes.

One of the things I've done is take our players into the gym where they hang up banners for every sport that wins a conference or section title. I tell the kids, 'Look around. Do you see anything for football?' There's nothing.

One of the things I did when I took over is ask what we need to build a program around. To me it's discipline and the weight room. Those are the two big things I've focused on.

But I still don't think we've really turned the corner. This school started in 1958. Let's face it. They've lost for almost 50 years now. One conference championship is not going to change that.

I actually don't know anyone, and I don't look at the brackets. But I feel pretty good right now.
