"Jamie Frank Redknapp" is an English retired professional Association football/footballer who was active from 1989 until 2005. He is now a Pundit (expert)/pundit at Sky Sports and an editorial sports columnist at the Daily Mail. A midfielder, Redknapp played for A.F.C. Bournemouth/Bournemouth, Southampton F.C./Southampton, Liverpool F.C./Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur F.C./Tottenham Hotspur, captaining the latter two. He also gained 17 England national football team/England caps between 1995 and 1999. He won seven honours during his time at Liverpool F.C./Liverpool. Throughout his career, Redknapp played in and won one final, the 1995 League Cup.

In a career that was blighted by a succession of injuries, Redknapp was as famous for his media profile off the field as much as on it. He married the pop singer Louise Redknapp/Louise in 1998. Redknapp comes from a well-known footballing family. His father is the football manager Harry Redknapp. He is also a cousin of Frank Lampard, and a nephew of former West Ham United F.C./West Ham United coach Frank Lampard, Sr./Frank Lampard Senior.
