You know that's a relief.

This year we're going to introduce him to more things and, hopefully, he'll be able to pick it up. If he makes a mistake, he's making a mistake going full speed. The coach can live with that.

This year, he's playing guard, which means he gets more in the meat of things. His responsibility is a lot greater now. He's got to do a lot of things, but I know he'll handle it, because he's a smart kid.

Quarterback is a lot of footwork. It's mechanics, how you step back, what you do on a trap or power or play action.

You can't take God-given talent, put it in a jar and say 'I'm going to take this out,' and it just happens, ... It's going to take some time to get Joe the way we want to get him.

It is definitely going to lift the team up. We're excited to have him back.

Sarasota is better than last year because they can run and throw and get some things going for good yardage.

Joe has good feet, ... If something broke down, I felt he could get away easily. The other night (against DeSoto) he got a bad snap, made this guy miss and that guy miss, and before you knew it, he broke it to the sidelines for about 30 yards.
