He steps in when he needs to, and he knows when to back off.

This has probably been the most fun baseball total experience as I have had in my life, ... I've never been around a group of guys that jelled like we did. I'll cherish these six weeks forever.

I heard a lot of good stories from guys who had played [in the AFL] and I considered it a pretty big honor to be invited, ... The best thing I heard about it was that it's a hitter's league and I knew I would be facing some of the best Minor League hitters in the game.

You never like the first pitch to be taken deep. But it's not about how pretty it is, it's about walking off the field with a win.

You've definitely got to be careful. That last pitch he could have hit 450 feet. Their whole lineup is awesome. They're approaching a major-league record for homers. With the tying run at the plate, everyone in that lineup you approach as if they can hit a home run. Young hit a tough pitch. He showed why he's leading the major leagues in hits. I just tried to keep the ball down against Teixeira.

They turned that so quick, I didn't think they'd have a chance. Right there, that's the game.

But just when you feel like you need a little help, he'll come in with a little adjustment that ends up making a huge difference.

Hopefully this will jump start the year and get me going on the right track. This is going to get me ready for the season for sure.

That says everything right there. That's how monumental that win was.
