We worked hard all year and tried to set an example for our people back home. Just because we are a small school, we don't have to follow the mold of other schools.

There weren't any great performances, but we won it.

It was so awesome. The work that we've put in during the season and out of season was great. When it comes to a climax like that, it makes it all worthwhile. You reflect back to when they weren't in shape and not doing the little things. When you see it all come together at the state meet, it is very rewarding.

(The boys) were really flaky. We had some boys who performed worse than they have all year long. This is a home meet, and you're supposed to have some sort of pride at a home meet. You are supposed to stand tall, and we were not standing tall today.

I don't know how many people we're going to have participating, but if those people don't give 100 percent on Friday, we will get embarrassed at home. If we don't come and run well, we'll be in a lot of trouble because there is a lot of talent coming.

There were some other girls who had some fair performances, but I'm expecting better.
