Weathers always wrestles his best at this time of year. He?s a threat to beat anyone he tangles with.

We rested a few kids and bumped some others up tonight. We tried to get as many seniors in the lineup as possible. It was a good chance for some of the kids.

Tomorrow in the semis is where we need to make our jump. We need to pull four or five guys into the finals. That could be about a 50- to 60-point jump right there.

I think we wrestled pretty well overall as a team. We?re starting to round into form. It?s a good time, with (Southern Oregon Conference) districts coming up next week.

He?s always been a tough kid, but now he?s anxious to get in there and fight, to open up and mix it up. And that approach has created more opportunities for Jon to score.

We wrestled real tough today. Even in some of our defeats, the kids wrestled real well and competed on the mat. There?s no place to hide up here in any of the weights. There are tough guys in every match.

We?re in it to win it, but we?d be out there fighting the same way if we had never won anything. We don?t see it as pressure. We see it as competition, and competition is fun.

We think we can get at least four kids into the finals and place eight or nine. If we do that, we should be sitting pretty good.
