Pete Carroll is a phenomenal recruiter, the whole entire staff has so much energy; they actually recruit like they are a 1-9 team instead of a 12-0 team.

Their coaches do such a good job of recruiting the kids with passion and energy. You don't always see that. A lot of these college coaches are dry, have no personality and are very bland.

If it's a kid who doesn't think he can play there because there's too much competition, then they don't want him. It helps them weed out the players that they don't want. They are recruiting a guy that they know is going to work and is not going to want something handed to him.

That now takes precedent over how you do on the field as a senior.
