In the first half, I thought we gave him some. The second half, we made him fight for every one of them, and he just got them. That's how good he is. That's a different-level player.

I thought we made him earn every one of them. And he earned that (last) one. It wasn't like he got a wide-open look. He had to extend his body up over the top of a defender right on him and fade backwards.

They're in the stratosphere in the RPI right now.

This is extremely disappointing. New Mexico State played great in the second half. We have lost so many (games) in the final two minutes. It is heartbreaking for our team and our staff. By our count, we are 1-9 in games decided in the last three minutes. We are trying to put our fingers on it. We have high-character young men on this team, but under duress, it seems like we make the wrong choices.

That's a hard shot to make. You can win a lot of games in H-O-R-S-E if you can make that shot consistently.

We've lost an enormous number of games in the final seconds. They made plays in the last couple of minutes and we didn't.

Nelson had a monster game in the second half. He is a good player and was hard to stop tonight.

We don't shoot the ball very well and our best shooter (Elam) wasn't here. We had to attack and be aggressive around the basket.

That's a big problem. A lot of teams have worn us down with their size -- Nevada, Hawaii.
