I think our guys feel good about going to Division II. They know they can compete.

It was nice to see our defense step up like this and it helped that Kevin Donovan was up to the task in goal.

His attitude has been terrific. (Glynn, an assistant captain, and Nanavati) have handled it perfectly. They both played last year and pretty much split their duties. Their attitudes have been terrific. They understand that. Without that positive attitude, I don?t think we are going to have the same success.

Our seniors, Sean and Brigitta, really put in the extra effort for this team to win tonight.

That second goal was big for them because I thought we were outplaying them but they kill off the penalty and then come down and score and it took a lot out of us.

I thought it was a well-played game by both teams. We got off to a sluggish start but our kids hung in there and were able to come back but it wasn't quite enough. Their goalie played great but we hurt ourselves especially on the power play where we struggled.

People have been talking about him since he was a freshman. I never had any conversations with him about it (before this year). He actually came up to me at the beginning of the school year. We got talking about the possibilities about coming here. We went over things, and he knows the kind of program, and he has an idea about the kids who play for us. It was by fate, really, that he came here.

We were putting a lot into this game to win the league, because it is something that this program hasn't since 1995 and we wanted it this season.

Our shifting gave us a little left in the tank at the end and that made the kids feel confident enough to win it which is gratifying.
