It was our first game and it looked like a first game. It was one of those games where I look back and don't feel too bad.

We'd love to see former players and school alumni there for a community celebration.

I'm not sure if it was a matter of Derek getting better protection or him just settling in, or both. But we started clicking and Derek was throwing some great balls.

There weren't a lot of hung heads as we walked off the field. It was a great game, we matched up well, but the kids understand that somebody has to win and somebody has to lose a good football game.

We got into the red zone three times. We put it in the end zone once but put it on the ground three times. You're not going to be able to win much if you do that.

We get one chance a year to prepare for their wishbone. It's an interesting challenge for us.

That was a factor. We need them to make a commitment to football. Hopefully that will happen.

In the fourth quarter it was us stopping them but on offense we basically ran out of steam. Without Jon and Derek we were trying different personnel combinations but weren't able to get much of a drive going.
