"Gabriel Daniel "Gabe" Norwood" is a Filipino-American professional basketball player and a former NCAA basketball player at George Mason University. Norwood is playing for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the Philippine Basketball Association. He is a two-time member of the Philippines men's national basketball team/Philippine national basketball team.

Anyone who watches enough college basketball and the NCAA tournament knows that it's never over until it's over. We're just a bunch of composed guys and we didn't buckle under the pressure. That's what's gotten us this far.

Nobody out here is having more fun than we are, and we wanted to keep it that way. Right now, it hurts. We didn't want this season to end this way. We wanted to be carrying the trophy out of here, but you can't win 'em all.

I think that's just me, the team and the coaching staff having so much fun. It's a once in a lifetime thing, so there's no point in getting stressed.

That was the furthest thing on my mind two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, I was just hoping to get in. I thought of it every day since the day after we got in. When opportunity knocks, open the door. That's what we're trying to do, just walk through the door.

It's just the beauty of basketball. Anybody can come out and compete and earn themselves a national championship.
