It was a great feeling to finally get one.

When we got up 5-0, I don't think anybody said, `OK we got him, ... Everybody kept pressing to get more runs.

For no other reason than confidence it's a big night for me, ... I've never had three hits in a game and that gives me a lot of confidence.

Since I left after coming up a second time, ... I've felt pretty good swinging the bat. My comfort level is 100 percent better.

The only area of the game where I really didn't have a good year in was hitting the ball out of the ballpark, ... I feel like in every other area I improved in and had a solid year.

I was thinking about that when Ski (Hinske) led off with a double, ... I thought this would be the perfect time for me to get the goose egg off the RBI column.

In a small glimpse, that's been a little bit of my season. I've hit several like that. Hopefully, next year, they'll stay fair for me. It took me a little longer than I wanted and anticipated, but it came at a good time and against a good ballclub. It helped us get a win, so I'm happy.

You can't underestimate what Boston can do with the bats.
