"Frank Gordon Dobson" is a British Labour Party (UK)/Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Holborn and St Pancras (UK Parliament constituency)/Holborn and St. Pancras since United Kingdom general election, 1979/1979. He served in the Blair Ministry/Cabinet as Secretary of State for Health from 1997 to 1999, and was the official Labour Party candidate for Mayor of London in 2000, ultimately finishing third in London mayoral election, 2000/the election, behind Conservative Party (UK)/Conservative Steven Norris and the winner, Labour-turned-Independent Ken Livingstone.

Dobson will not stand at the next United Kingdom general election, which is expected to be held on 7 May 2015.
