XAML is the key innovation. It's what the tools understand natively.

Sparkle all started around WPF. Four years ago, we started thinking about these concepts. We wanted to make it easier for people to build around that (platform) with XAML.

Maybe in the past when we said 'everywhere' we didn't really mean everywhere. Now we really mean it. We want to support the widest breadth of scenarios from the browser to the desktop.

We are extremely focused on the user experience...broadly in every class of application. We are saying that the user experience matters in ways that dramatically add value to the business.

As much as 80 percent of designers focused on Web and interactive design it turns out are on Windows workstations. There is the mystique of the Mac in the design community but not so in the Web interactive community.
