The exercise component to this is nice, too.

Most of the time, adults say they are just here to watch. I always offer to give them my helmet and my board. I know that if I get people on the hill, they'll be the ones holding the board over their heads at the bottom.

I call it the endorphin adrenaline cocktail.

The hike is brutal, straight-out pure cardio pain. There's nothing great about that.

It's an end of the season celebration to dog ownership. There's always such good energy. It's a spectacle.

Out of all these great events around here, none are dog-friendly. What we do in our free time for normal recreation we do with our dogs, so why keep leaving them at home? This way you don't have to leave your friend at home and they can share in the experience.

The shelter dogs are always appreciative. They don't get to do this fun stuff, and this is a get-out-of-jail-free card for the day.

I could be on the X Games PA system and no one would hear me.

With the support this event gets from the community and the [Aspen] Skiing Company, it makes me motivated to keep doing it. It takes something to motivate and drive me every year. I'm feeling the love and the support to keep it going.
