We didn't see a cover of ours (in advance) until our fourth album.

A certain mythology has grown up around the band after 30 years. We didn't want to come back until we felt we could play and not pop that bubble.

There was a period of time when there were so many bad feelings among the various members that a reunion seemed very unlikely.

We looked like a garage band. We didn't know if it was going to work out, so we rented a lot of the stuff.

Yeah, it's funny how 30 years and having families and developing lives tends to change people.

But now, we don't have that pressure, and we don't have to stay out on the road for six months.

When we formed the band in 1970, we set out to try to write great songs like the songs we heard when we were growing up.

A couple of years earlier, I toured with Ringo Starr and played the House of Blues in Chicago. I remembered being struck by how (well-run) it was.

It's just a great joy to get back together on a stage 30 years later and be able to do it.
