Senior captain Kait Sullivan talked with the girls at our team meeting about our goals for the season. Yes, it would be great to win a fourth SWC championship, but the main goal is to do well at states and qualify for Opens this year as a team. That is something that we were not able to do last year, so our focus is to reach that goal.

From what I understand of the domestic offset program, the government has decided they would like to have any investments in greenhouse gas reduction projects stay in Canada.

I feel that this group of girls, the entire team, has already come together as a unit.

What we have put together is the world's largest carbon trading fund.

The town car I use is available for anyone, ... Its not mine, per se. Its available for council members and employees.

We have goals set higher for ourselves. But I'm not changing anything we're doing. And this (Fairfield Hills) is probably the toughest course we've run this year, which will be good preparation for the states.

I'm thinking for some reason the SWC meet seems to be very important to a lot of people. It should be; you want to win the conference. But before, people tended to peak too early.

Let's go save some lives.

I do believe this year that the fifth, sixth and seventh spots will be challenged by other Newtown girls this year, ... which is a wonderful thing to have in cross country. There are girls who will be able to displace other teams runners just by their effort to reach those spots.
