Getting used to that is going to be an adventure for me, and maybe it will make me a better transportation secretary because all of us need transportation too.

We had such strong teams the four years I was there. Winning it in '90 and going back to the final again in '92, I guess you almost take it for granted in a way. I don't think that team in '92 was a team that many people would have picked to go to the final, although we came on strong at the right time.

We're doing projects on time and on budget all over the state.

My doctor told me I was going to be marginal at this test and he'd given me some hope that maybe I was going to be OK. But when I went in and did it I realized I wasn't going to be able to pass it so I've been working on accepting reality.

That's a long time -- I think too long for that program, considering all the attributes and the things that school and that program have to offer. It's almost unbelievable.
