We could've put it away, but they're a good team. I mean, they fight. They're not going to give up their home court.

I'm real happy from a defensive standpoint in the way that we played. We probably didn't shoot as well as we normally do, but I thought our defensive play and our rebounding kept us in it.

We're real even matched teams. That one could have went either way. There were just so many turning points. Obviously, the key was Ashley knocking down some key free throws at the end of the game.

It's just a shame somebody has to lose.

I thought Ashley passed the ball really well. He didn't shoot the ball as well as he normally does, but I thought he passed really well.

The turning point for us was getting healthy, playing together more and getting better defensively. We've beaten some good teams and it's been a situation [where] we get better each day and take steps toward improving. We're getting more contributions from other kids. It might not show up in the box score, but as far as rebounds and defense, they are contributing.

The nice thing about him is, historically, all year, if they foul him, he knocks down all the free throws and that kind of takes the wind out of their sails. He's capable of doing that. I just thought he got a lot of penetration. I thought he played pretty smart tonight. He had a ton of free throws, which really helped.

I wasn't really discouraged. I mean, they're too good of a team not to make a run at us. Even though we were up, I really figured they were going to make a run at us, so it wasn't all that unexpected.
