We feel really sorry for them with all the injuries they have had and the seriousness of some of them. A lot of our players play with their players [in the off-season] so they're good friends.

Kim did a very nice job on the mound today. This is a very big win for us.

This was an important game from that standpoint. We wanted to have a good outing against them to give us some ammunition at the seeding meeting.

We were being aggressive and trying to make things happen, and it just didn't work out. We talked about being aggressive, and we have a little more speed this year, so we're trying to use that.

It was a little duck-snort, I guess. As a defense you're pulling your hair out, but for us it came at just the right time.

Everything came at just the right time. It worked to our advantage that there were two outs and two strikes. On the defensive side, you're pulling your hair out over a hit like that because it's just out of reach.

When we got out of that, we were really excited. That always gets you a little more confidence, but then we were a little disappointed.

I was real happy with the way Kim held down (the Tigers') big hitters. She was spotting her pitchers, moving the ball around and changing speeds.
