It may appear a low-level crime, but it's the kind of crime that seriously affects the lives of people in Edinburgh.

We felt we had been badly let down by Historic Scotland. They were concerned about catering for visitors to the castle and some health-and-safety issues, but suggestions were made to resolve these and with a bit of goodwill and better joint working it could have happened. At the time, I don't think there was a meaningful attempt to do so but we need to ensure that these concerts happen next year.

The accusations are made against the Ottoman regime and are no reflection on the modern Turkish state or Turkish people. I have met to discuss the issue with a range of representatives from the Turkish community and agreed to host a seminar for them to present their view on this period of history.

As well as providing a more appropriate and reliable service than the loco-hauled trains that have recently worked the route, [the trains] will benefit from a refurbishment over the next 12 months to increase the number of seats and provide a more comfortable environment.
