Our confidence level has been high the last few days. I see guys looking forward to coming to the park. Not that we had a problem with it before, but now they're asking how Tacoma is doing.

A scout told me that he could have pitched in the big leagues that night, and he was only 17. But I remember that last at-bat, and he threw a 98-mph fastball and stepped off and shook his arm a little. He struck the guy out, but when he got back to the dugout he said he felt something.

We're not looking at tomorrow. Now that we've won, we can talk about tomorrow. We have to win them all.

Evan never lost his focus. He feels, like everyone else in the dugout, that we're swinging the bats.

Our pitching has been coming around. The starters have been giving us plus innings and the bullpen has been holding it. The confidence level has risen big time around here - you can feel it.

Its a weird game. It's awesome. I'm so proud of these guys. We've got another day tomorrow.

It's nearing the end of the year, and fatigue played a part. Two, they were trying too hard at times. The defense would make an error and start to press. In this league, starting pitching is the key because of the bullpens.

Our bats just wouldn't let our gloves beat us tonight.
