FameRank: 4

"Dennis Keith Lillee", Member of the Order of Australia/AM, Member of the Order of the British Empire/MBE is a former Australian cricketer rated as the "outstanding fast bowler of his generation". Lillee was known for his fiery temperament, 'never-say-die' attitude and popularity with the fans.

In the early part of his career Lillee was an extremely quick bowler, but a number of stress fractures in his back almost ended his career. Taking on a strict fitness regime, he fought his way back to full fitness, eventually returning to international cricket. By the time of his retirement from international cricket in 1984 he had become the then world record holder for most Test cricket/Test wickets (355), and had firmly established himself as one of the most recognisable and renowned Australian sportsmen of all time.

On 17 December 2009, Lillee was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. He has also contributed to the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai, India.

Australia was ambushed by England because way too many people right across the board were living in a comfort zone. The first priority is to appoint a captain who can lead from the front.

They should start at the very top when assessing what went wrong in England. Cricket Australia executives, the coach, the manager, the captain and support staff must be all held accountable for this disaster.

Who'll win? I'm probably going to be a bit controversial here and say I think England may win it.

I got the distinct impression Warne was the pseudo-captain during the fifth Test. There is no doubt Warne has an amazing cricket brain - but not only that, any cricket he plays is full of passion, (courage) and determination.

If Australia want to regain the Ashes they would dramatically improve their chances by appointing Shane Warne as captain.

Whenever I've called him over the last 12 months or so, he's never once complained. He's always got a joke.

I think you have got to win the game, so you go in with five (bowlers).

I'm just saying it could be an English win.

If Australia plays as good as it possibly can obviously it can win, no doubt about that.
