I think it?s a great feeling. It?s an honor to go to a successful team, a team that wants to win. There?s not much more you can ask for as a hockey player then to go to a team that aspires for the Stanley Cup each and every year. It?s a great opportunity for me.

It's a mind-set of going out and getting the job done.

Now, because of the new rules, you can't hold on as much and pin a guy against the wall. Guys are facing the glass a lot more. They position their body between you and the puck and try to play keep-away.

We need to be physical with them early and set ourselves up for later in the series. Every time you get out of position to make a hit, they have the skill to make you pay. You have to wait for them, but in a seven-game series they'll come eventually.

I'll talk to them after the series. Before that there are no friends anywhere.

It's a place I've always wanted to go to, ever since my draft day. That's my style. They've always used big, physical defensemen. So I was excited to have a chance.

I'm more of a stay-at-home, physical defenseman. I can kill penalties and play against the top line. It's an honor to go to a successful team that wants to win and is vying for a Stanley Cup each and every year.

I didn't know if I was just going to be a rental player. This makes me feel a lot better about being here and wanting to battle for the rest of the year with these guys.

I'm going to bring my physical play, there's no doubt about that. If it helps neutralize anything, great. If it helps our team, gives it an emotional lift at times during the game, perfect.
