I told them there were bad people on the airplane, and that those bad people had caused the airplane to crash. When that happened, Daddy and everyone on board died.

My feeling was that it was going to be Tom, and Tom's feeling was that it was going to be him. He just felt that whatever God's plan was for him, it had something to do with the White House and was going to impact a lot of people.

Now it's up to us to continue what he started.

We have a responsibility to our troops. Our nation stands divided. This war is not about us. We fight for those who can't fight for themselves like my husband did. Our soldiers are doing what it takes to keep another Sept. 11 from happening anywhere in our world.

The transcript really doesn't give you a sense of the heroism on that flight. I would like to have (the tape) released.

He had been given a strong faith through his parents. As an adult, in his teen years and early college, he kind of got away from the church, and ended up going to St. John's University in Minnesota. Tom was very intellectual, enjoyed the discourse with monks, had a lot of questions, and I think the monks provided a great insight into the faith he had grown up with and somehow had been missing.

That didn't deter me from wanting to listen to it or to have access to it.

This is about not having another Sept. 11 anywhere in the world.
