"David York" is a former England/English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler who played for Shropshire County Cricket Club/Shropshire. He was born in Quatt, Shropshire.

York, who made his debut in the Minor Counties Championship in 1961, made his only List A appearance in the 1974 Gillette Cup, against Essex County Cricket Club/Essex. From the tailend, he scored just a single run, as the team were all out for just 41 runs.

York bowled 12 overs in the match, taking figures of 1-34. He continued to represent Shropshire until 1976.

He has now been elected as President of Worfield Cricket Club.

We hit the ball really well and got timely hits when we needed them. Ryan had a good game on the mound. He pitched good enough to get the win.

Right now things seem to be going well at the plate. But the offensive thing comes and goes. You still have to pitch and play defense.
