"David Pope" is a retired American basketball player who played in the NBA. Born in Newport News, Virginia, he attended Norfolk State University.

A 6'7" 220 lb small forward, Pope was selected in the third round (62nd overall) of the 1984 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. His short playing career lasted from 1984–86 with the Sacramento Kings/Kansas City Kings and the Seattle SuperSonics.
