"David Jacques Pelletier" is a Canadians/Canadian pairs figure skater. With his partner Jamie Salé, he was the co-gold medal winner at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. They shared the gold medal with the Russian pair Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze after the 2002 Olympic Winter Games figure skating scandal.

Nobody asked us how we'd like to receive (their gold medals). It sure wouldn't have been the way it was done. But you quickly realize the athletes have no say in what happens at the Olympics except for your performance. After that, you lose control.

They didn't ask for that.

It doesn't take away anything from what we did. We're still proud, and we still enjoyed 100 percent our Olympic experience.

It was a great TV moment, not a great athlete moment.

Jamie is my best friend and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her.

In the last year, we leased 3.5 million square feet of space -- more than we ever had in a single year. It absorbed a lot of the available space that we have. We have 600,000 square feet available, where we'd like to have about 1 million.

The fall-off in interest really happened in the mid to late 90s. I think the lemon was pressed with Kerrigan and Harding. I'm sorry about that because I missed out on the big money. But on our tour, the audiences have been up 15 per cent from last year.

We probably have a different viewpoint. But the one thing we have in common is that we were all athletes being thrown into this mess together.

I was one of the first to bring up that question, and I still haven't gotten an answer.
