Maybe it's because they think they need more time to practice before getting on the air.

That remains to be seen. I hope that both campaigns are following whatever laws apply, but at the end of the day, money is not going to be the biggest thing in the race. It's about which candidate is best at articulating what's important to voters, and I think Rod Smith has proven that he's the best candidate at that.

He sells it as a big program but it is only a 1.6 percent raise for teachers.

What he says is careful and correct. The most important fact is that Rod Smith is the only Democrat in this race who has taken not only one, but two seats from Republicans.

We should be concerned when somebody's politicking and campaigning gets in the way of doing their job of governing - and it's certainly not the first time it's happened with Jim Davis.

As we move toward the summer and voters start to tune in more, you will see some more significant movement.
