He shot it from the point. I think it was deflected once if not twice in front of the net.
Sam and Tanner and Gunde (the captains) have shown great leadership for this team. It is a great group of guys.
We just haven't been able to find the back of the net like we have in the past.
We are going to have practice today and regroup and try to put our finger on the right button to get the urgency going in the first period. They came out hard on us tonight, and I don't think our guys were ready for that.
The shots in the first and second period weren't as high a percentage as we would have wanted, but Holy Toledo, those were the shots we wanted in the third.
If we put three periods together like that third period, we are a top four team.
You hit a hot goaltender, and that can be a tough thing to beat.
I think we got caught not having the urgency we needed early in the game. We didn't get out and jump on them. We didn't put them on their heels like we've done to other teams in the past.
The energy in there was great. When the fans get into it, you can feel it.
