"Dave Irwin" is a former Alpine skiing/alpine ski racer who represented Canada at two Winter Alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics/Olympic Games and won a Alpine Skiing World Cup/World Cup. He was one of the "Crazy Canucks", a group of Canadian downhill racers who rose to prominence on the World Cup circuit in the late 1970s. He currently lives in Canmore, Alberta/Canmore, Alberta, near the Rocky Mountains.

Dave Irwin was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada where he learned to ski at the age of three at his father's ski resort. By the age of 17, Irwin had been selected to be a member of the Alpine Canada#Canadian Alpine Ski Team/Canadian National Ski Team.

Irwin's first World Cup race was the downhill at 1974 Alpine Skiing World Cup#Men/Schladming, Austria on December 22, 1973 where he placed 14th. Two years later at Schladming, he won the 1976 Alpine Skiing World Cup/downhill event in a time of 2:00.84 beating the second place finisher, Klaus Eberhard (skier)/Klaus Eberhard by almost two seconds. Irwin reached the podium again in 1982 with a third place finish at the World Cup downhill in Whistler, B.C. behind winner Peter Müller (skier)/Peter Müller, and team mate Steve Podborski.

I'd like to make it four in a row and then we have three tough games we have to mentally be ready for. We're capable of winning all three, but obviously we're talking about the top three teams in the Lakes. Right now we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat and when we get to those three games - if we play our game - there's no reason we can't continue winning.

They played Hull Western to a seven-point game. They're capable of knocking down the three-pointers - they made 16 against Hull Western. We can't take any opponent for granted. We have to come ready to play Friday.

I think Jared's doing a good job of looking for his teammates and not feeling like he has to carry the load offensively every night. That makes it a lot more fun for him and everyone else around him.
