We've been missing wake-up calls for early games since last year. Since I've been with the team, we really haven't played in the daytime too well.

I took the challenge against Mike James. I love the challenge. But I knew he was shooting the ball well, playing well. All I did was try and put pressure on them, and I know pressure better than anybody. Pressure doesn't bother me. What I tried to do was get them to turn the ball over, make them play my game.

We are a really good team when we come out aggressive. When we don't, we have problems.

If they [teams] don't call me ... wow, I might retire. That would be like a real hit to me because that's them telling you they don't think you can play any more. I'll wait and see.

It doesn't have to come from the coach all the time. We have to be able to talk to guys, even chastise guys – with everybody knowing it's constructive.

In a game like this, you hope you correct all the things you need to correct. We did some good things, but we had some injuries. Dirk came back and showed great leadership. That's what your leaders do.

We need to be right in their faces. We might have to go out and eat some onions.

This is what you want to take down to San Antonio. This team has shown so much character all season. And we're not done.

This team never, never quits.
