All the seniors were able to start tonight and they all did a good job for us.

The first four innings was probably lowest we've been all year defensively. We didn't play well, but the last three innings we came around. We definitely didn't play our best game of the year.

Charlie pitched the first three innings. Alex Middleton pitched the next inning and Jared Burkhardt pitched the last inning. I was glad to get them all in.

I knew we weren't as good as people were talking about. We started out 5-0, and Vidalia was the best team we played. And that was the first game of the year for both teams. When Patrick (McDonough) is on the mound, I feel good. And Zach (Calhoun) pitched well today. When you're as young as we are, we've just got to make the plays.

It looked like he might have lost a little concentration in the fourth. We're trying to save Patrick's elbow. I don't want to over-use him too much. He hasn't wanted to come out. He just said it was a little sore.

We were hoping we could get that one over in five innings. We're still looking for that No. 2 pitcher. We didn't have the same intensity and focus we had last night (at St. Al). That was a big win last night, and it seemed like we left some of our intensity in Vicksburg.

We're still juggling the lineup. We put Preston Edwards in the leadoff spot, and he's done a good job for us. He put the ball in play. We're still looking for somebody to step up. When Patrick gets hot, he gets hot. He did swing a good bat for us. Hopefully he can stay hot for us.

Jesse Morrison came up and drove one in, and Charlie came up behind him and drove two in, which was big.

His our number one. He came in with people on base and threw strikes and that's what we needed.
