The biggest thing that stuck out was the gritty performance.

Cat is so important with the leadership and experience she brings to this team. I did think it was a huge milestone and going out and getting it on Saturday made it nice for her to be able to put it behind her.

I think coach Hill has come in here and has been the 'X-factor' that has propelled our team to a new level. She has raised the team's level of confidence, has always focused on the positive, and has brought a new mindset to the program.

I do think we feel pretty comfortable with a starting lineup at this point. The nice thing is that Shannon is versatile enough that you can put her at short, you can put her in the outfield.

We have team rules and every member of our program is held accountable for them.

They are putting up better hitting numbers than they have in the last couple of years. They've really committed to that part of the game.

The combination of having experience, very good athletes, and then [assistant coach Corrie Hill] being able to take us to another level are the things that we can most attribute to what we have accomplished this season.

We miss Beverly terribly. But we are proud of her.

I thought we grew a lot mentally. We were challenged to make sure we adjusted mentally.
