Once the charter was developed, then there would be another election where citizens would decide if that's the charter they want for the community or not.

If we can get people who can get from point A to point B more conveniently, it will just be better.

If we all didn't agree to do it, it wasn't going to happen.

Those would be two examples where the city, if we wanted to do something different to meet our local community needs we could do that with a charter.

The city is part of the county. There are ways that we can partner together to help not just the elected officials, but help the whole community.

You approve things after staff has done the work. The Council doesn't go out there and do the work and come back and say, 'This is how we're doing it,' and that's what you want to avoid.

We have talked quite a bit about trying to do things more efficiently, and a charter would allow us to improve the way we do things.
