Our goal today was to start with intensity from the first whistle, and play with intensity until the end. Basically our ground ball control was lacking intensity, and today we wanted to win ball control, ground ball control and play with intensity. Today, we did that.

The girls played well in transition and are starting to pull it together right now.

Our strength is individual talent. Our weakness - and it?s something we have to work on - is blending that talent into a team as strong as we can possibly be.

We have to learn how to be on a varsity team and the intensity it brings. We?re getting there. We made progress from Monday, so that?s the positive.

We did some things right, but unfortunately we lost because of the mistakes we made. It was a good game.

These kids are now playing five or six seasons before they even get to us. With Rye and Portsmouth youth leagues, we have over 200 girls in the program. This year we have a freshman team. So you can see things really starting to build.
