We are a very athletic team and we're going to try to maximize our opportunities with our athleticism.
I was pleased with the way our team battled and didn't allow the first inning get away from us. The turning point of this game was responding to tie the score in the first inning. We showed good plate discipline and limited our strikeouts while forcing difficult situations on the McNary pitchers.
There were too many hitters that went deep into counts because of some fundamental things. Also I would like to see Dan be more aggressive in the first and second innings.
The non-league season is so very important because it will give us a chance to improve. By the time league play rolls around, we should be in good shape. I'm liking this team more and more everyday.
It was a good win for us. Especially with what went on last week.
We have an outstanding freshman class this year. They have come through the ranks together in Babe Ruth and were very successful.
