"Chelsea Newton" was born February 17, 1983 in Monroe, Louisiana. She is a former WNBA player, who last played for the Sacramento Monarchs. She signed with the Seattle Storm, but later retired before even playing a game with them.

Newton played for Carroll High School in Monroe, Louisiana, where she was named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association/WBCA All-American. She participated in the 2001 Women's Basketball Coaches Association#WBCA High School All-America Game/WBCA High School All-America Game where she scored fourteen points.
