We're stuck with Tom DeLay, Rick Perry and the rest of the corrupt Republican leadership who's auctioned off the state Capitol to the highest bidder. Their pay-to-play style of politics has put special interests over the best interests of our state.

For Harriet to say she was brought in to clean up the lottery ignores the timeline. She's got it backwards: Things were great when she got there and a terrible mess when she left.

In its arrogant quest for power, the Republican Party has continuously turned its back on hardworking Texans and families who get up every morning, go to work and play by the rules.
