When we came up the road, people were on both sides waving, clapping and crying. We were so well-received. I can't describe how beautiful the volunteers were ~ there's not enough I can say about those people.

You are all making it very hard to go back. My husband is homesick. He wants to go home, and I want to stay here. We are at an impasse.

The hardest thing was leaving our two dogs.

There were about 3,000 people there, including firemen, policemen, nurses and pharmacists. Some of them broke into the University and got medical supplies. They set up a triage unit, and were able to keep the peace intact. We didn't experience the lawlessness they saw in other areas.
