Some of the prongs are not down on the stone. The stone setter didn't finish his job.
It's not an appraisal, it's more of a sales tool.
I think that's a really high retail price. Personally, I wouldn't pay that for that diamond.
Unfortunately ,the answer to that question is yes.
They were going for weight rather than cut on this stone. Visually, it only faces up like a .80-point diamond, but it probably could weigh in neighborhood of a carat.
