"Carlos Everton "Carl" Francis" is an English former professional association football/footballer who played in the Football League for Birmingham City F.C./Birmingham City and Hereford United F.C./Hereford United, and in the Alliance Premier League for Enfield (1893) F.C./Enfield.

Francis was born in West Ham, London. He joined Birmingham City F.C./Birmingham City as an apprentice in June 1979, and turned professional the following year. A pacy midfielder#Winger/winger, Francis made his debut in the Football League First Division/First Division on the opening day of the 1982–83 Football League/1982–83 season, in the starting eleven for a 3–0 defeat at Manchester United F.C./Manchester United. He was the first black player to appear for the club. He made one more start and three substitute (association football)/substitute appearances that season, but his inconsistency restricted his first-team football. In December 1983 he joined Football League Fourth Division/Fourth Division club Hereford United F.C./Hereford United on a month's loan, where he played five league games. Francis was released in 1984, and he went on to play three games without scoring in the Alliance Premier League for Enfield (1893) F.C./Enfield in the 1984–85 Alliance Premier League/1984–85 season.

We are in discussion with them as to what that language really means.

It's inspiring to the community and is A-1 as far as I'm concerned.

That isn't true at all. We haven't received one call criticizing Gene for how he's handled this.

They've actually denied any wrongdoing in not permitting him to work at his place of employment while under contract. At this point, we're moving forward to try to bring some remedy to this.
