It's uncharted territory for us. The history portion is one that you'd like to think would be significant. I don't know about ... why it has taken so long, but I'm just happy that we're getting a shot.
They pound you defensively and are similar to our defense. It can be confusing so it's going to take a bit of work for us to be prepared.
We would have scored a lot more if we could have gotten the ball back more often. I was surprised by some of the things they were able to do to our defense that kept the ball from us.
Defensively, I think they're a good bit better than they were last year. They seem to be more active. They seem to be more aggressive. Their secondary is so, so talented. They continuously make big plays. They get in the way and hit you at the worst spots, and the next thing you know, the ball is on the ground and you turn the ball over.
This is a very talented group and may be our best signing class yet.
We were hoping to get a break or two to get ourselves started.
You're talking about a more experienced team with two backs that are just feeling it. They feel like they're in a zone and can't be stopped.
It not only gives us ownership of the team, it gives us the opportunity to bring some of the best players in the state.
We know what they can do, and they've been stopped so far this season.
